About this special gift...
This is a 50-minute recording of a live performance I gave of the story "The Very Good King" on 4 February 2008 at the Bedford Creative Arts Gallery in Bedford, England. "The Very Good King" is the Prologue of my bestselling book The Garden of the Soul, and is a story in its own right, reading very much like a fairy tale. It is suitable for adults and children alike. It tells the tale of four flowers who, by a twist of fate, arrive in the kingdoms of two very different kings, who relate to them in very different ways. It is a parable about allowing your true self to blossom, simply by listening to the music within your own heart, and how we suffer when we attempt to turn ourselves into something we are not.
